A Celebration of Healing
The Old Land-Marks
Healing Scriptures and Confessions
Proverbs 22:28 Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set.
This Word has a code to unlock specific forms of restoration and recovery.
Healing comes in several forms with the activation of our faith. Often, The Word of God gives instruction/s preceding healing. Sometimes it is one thing, several things, or nothing at all we should do before receiving healing. God often has mercy and just heals a situation or person as it pleases Him.
The following passages of scripture give several instructions to activate, complete, and seal healing. The healing process in James 5 includes heart healing, strength for endurance, restoration of hope and joy, deliverance from doubt and unbelief, deliverance from pride, and deliverance from double-mindedness.
The instructions in James also teaches the believer or person willing to submit to God’s Word how to worship, forgive, strengthen prayer life, the importance of unity, and having compassion for others. Specific instructions must be followed to receive and seal healing.
James 5:7-12, deals mostly with spiritual healing of the mind, heart, mental and emotional healing, and soul salvation. James 5:13-16, mostly deals with physical actions of obedience that seals and binds healing. God has laid out healing throughout His Word. Go back to the Old Landmark.
Spiritual Healing and Repentance that leads to Salvation
James 5:7-16 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
8 Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. 9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
10 Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
11 Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
Physical Actions moving in the operation of Faith
13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Supernatural Healing for Terminal Illness
2 Kings 20:1-11 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.
2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying,
3 I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.
4 And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
5 Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.
6 And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.
7 And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.
8 And Hezekiah said unto Isaiah, What shall be the sign that the LORD will heal me, and that I shall go up into the house of the LORD the third day?
9 And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten degrees, or go back ten degrees?
10 And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.
11 And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.
Father we pray like Hezekiah and remind You Lord of our faithful service and loyalty to Your leadership. Lord we pray for the same mercy you showed Your servant Hezekiah by restoring and extending his life. We cry OH Lord with the same humility and brokenness as Hezekiah. We weep continually for this sickness/disease to go away. Lord thank You that our healing manifest with miracles, signs, and wonders. We cry out of desperation not hopelessness, Lord hear our cry! In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Turning Toward God in Obedience
Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
Exodus 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
Exodus 23:25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
Our confession is we fear the Name of God, We will listen and obey the voice of the Lord, follow His commandments and statues, and we vow to serve the Lord God faithfully, whole-heartily, and will have no other gods before us. Now Lord grant us healing according your Word and our response. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Healing Water and Land
2 Kings 2:19-21 And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.
20 And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him.
21 And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.
Lord show us a miracle concerning waters in our lands like You did in Elisha’s day. We use our faith to activate the mystery in Your Word. We petition for clean fresh and an abundance of water and ask for a salt covering and to receive the blessings of The Salt Covenant that You had with King David.
Lord thank You for healed waters in our lakes, streams, rivers, oceans, and all bodies of water that we may use as sources for preparing food, bathing, drinking, and everyday living.
Father we ask that You sprinkle supernatural salt into the waters according to Your Word that there be no death, famine, or drought in our lands. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
